Spurs show old-school teamwork in Game 7 win over Mavericks

When Manu Ginobili was knocked down by DeJuan Blair while driving to the basket in the first half of the Spurs' Game 7 win, something special, and completely ordinary, happened.

Maybe it's not that big of a deal.

After all, the Spurs secured the league's best regular season record while being more unselfish than every other team in the league, leading the NBA in assists per game. So what would you expect from the San Antonio Spurs but pitching in whenever a fellow player needs a hand up.

But still, there was something special about the way the team responded after Manu Ginobili was knocked to the court by DeJuan Blair in the first half of Sunday's blowout win.

Danny Green, Tim Duncan, Boris Diaw and Patty Mills all rushed over as soon as they saw Manu hit the floor, and all four of them helped the Argentine back to his feet.

By no means was it the most important play of the game, but it sure does say a lot about the team and the way these guys treat each other.
