Refs miss Spurs playing six guys at once

The NBA got lucky tonight that the Spurs didn't pull off that crazy comeback. It would have been a huge black eye for the league had they won the game and got away with playing six guys.

After Monta Ellis threw the ball away late in the game the Spurs had one last chance to try to steal the game. Trailing two with 1.3 seconds left, the Spurs had five players on the court plus the inbounder. That's a great strategy, but the referees have to catch that kind of thing. The NBA is very fortunate that the inbound pass was batted out of bounds by the Mavs and that Patty Mills missed the final attempt for the Spurs.
