Power Rankings Week 20: Red-hot Spurs are California-dreaming

50-plus wins. 15 straight seasons. I'm not going to quote Ricky Bobby verbatim, but there's something about excellence here that can be said for Pop and the Spurs in the past decade-and-a-half.

San Antonio was the first team to reach the David Robinson mark this year, and they remain atop the NBA's standings with a 50-16 record. The Spurs steamrolled opponents last week, winning by eight in Chicago and then by double-digits against Portland, LA and Utah. They're now winners of ten straight, with a west-coast swing this week that should only test them on their last stop: at Golden State.

The only Cali team San Antonio won't face this week, the Clippers, are the only ones that challenge them as the all-out top team in the web-wide power rankings. Other than that, there's not much for us, the Persecuted, to complain about.
