San Antonio started this game out very sloppy, being really careless with the ball and before you knew it the good guys were down by 12 with four and half minutes left in the first quarter. The Spurs then chipped away and San Antonio trailed by four at the end of the first quarter. The game was tight all throughout the second quarter and the Spurs missed a bunch of open looks and were down by one at the half.
The third quarter was tightly contested for the whole quarter with the Spurs tying the game a couple of times and finally taking the lead with six seconds left in the quarter. Kemba Walker promptly hit a buzzer beater and the Bobcats were up one going into the final period.
Patty Mills was fantastic all game, but he was brilliant in the fourth quarter. With Tony Parker visibly hobbled Patty dropped 18 on Charlotte in the deciding quarter. It was his performance that sealed the deal for the Spurs who had entered the quarter down by one. Patty finished with a game high +15 and was easily the Game MVP. Way to go Patty!
Your Spurs improve to 37-14 for the year, good for second best in the West, two back of OKC in the loss column.
