If you didn't watch this one with your own eyes, no amount of hyperbole will suffice when it comes to how hard the entire San Antonio roster fought in this game. After losing Tony Parker to a sore back at halftime, Tim Duncan turned back the clock yet again and several reserves had big moments in the second half and both overtimes to seal the comeback

From the opening tip, the Wizards could not miss a shot.  All-Star guard John Wall finished the 1st quarter with 14 points on 6 - of - 8 shooting and Washington took advantage of early turnovers to take an eight point lead after one.

The second quarter was even worse for the Spurs. With the Wizards employing a full court press, they forced the Spurs into 13 turnovers and continued to ride the hot hands of their outside shooters Bradley Beal (19 points) and Trevor Ariza (15). After two quarters, the Spurs found themselves in a 14 point hole.

The Spurs took care of the ball in the third quarter (0 turnovers!) and Nando De Colo had the NBA quarter of his life to erase what had become a 17 point deficit earlier.  Interestingly, there were a lot of Spurs fans in the building tonight and they were going bonkers during the run. It's good to see the Silver and black well-represented on the road.

In the fourth quarter and both overtimes, play became physical and the score stayed close throughout. Patty Mills and Danny Green absolutely lit it up, finishing with 23 and 22 points, respectively. Both Cory Joseph and Tiago Splitter contributed stellar defensive efforts throughout, and the Spurs are now 2-0 on the Rodeo Road Trip!

Despite great play up and down the Spurs' roster, it was the amazing performance from Timmy that carried the day.  The Ageless One finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and three blocks. We are so lucky; we are so unworthy. The guy's amazing.
