Stampler and Phil Naessens chat about David Stern's legacy

Listen along, as I shamelessly endorse tanking for the 137th time and Phil trashes David Stern for an entire hour

Scott Halleran

Phil Naessens DOES NOT care for David Stern.

He couldn't dislike the man any more if he was the coach of the New York Knicks, or their starting small-forward.

Me? I don't think he was half bad as a commissioner. Ironically, it's the Spurs fan who tries to defend Stern's legacy to a fan of a team he rigged the Patrick Ewing draft for. What a strange world we live in.

Anyway, on this week's show Phil and I discuss Stern. I try to defend Stern's honor against Naessen's multi-pronged attack. A worthy adversary, that Naessens, like a hydra, coming at you from so many angles, always probing for a weakness. Curses, I knew I needed to boost my shield rating before this battle!

(I'm, uh, not an RPG guy.)

Also, after my segment Zeb from Welcome to Loud City is on and offers his own thoughts on Stern. Since the team he covers benefited directly from Stern's cozy relationship with Clay Bennett and relocated from Seattle to Oklahoma City, I'm guessing Zeb kinda digs Stern, but you'll have to listen to find out for yourself.
