So... this is my first official article for PtR under my real name, I guess?
Okay, I'll write about the Spurs for real for tomorrow morning's rehash, but until the Clippers game late tonight you can whet your appetite with a bit of basketball talk between Phil and I as we discuss the wholly ridiculous notion of Beno Udrih returning to the Spurs, Phil's beloved 'Melo making some curious comments during the break and the league possibly going to a centralized replay system like hockey has. I mean obviously it seems like a no-brainer for the NBA to copy anything the monolith NHL is doing, right?
Oh, and Phil also asks me who my MVP pick is so far and --spoiler alert-- I make an impassioned case for Manu Gi no just kidding I was boring and picked Kevin Durant.
Once you've had your fill of me, Zeb from Welcome to Loud City makes his weekly appearance on the show with Phil and they break down the flaming car wreck that was All-Star Weekend, Belinelli heroics excepted. That game had better dunks than the previous evening's dunk contest, which wasn't surprising considering that neither event had any big men contesting at the rim.
Between my segment and Zeb's, Phil mixes in some baseball talk with Rush Olson of RushOlson.com, a sports marketing firm. Rush wears many hats, but he does have a baseball background, mainly with the Texas Rangers, and he and Phil talk about the top 10 starting pitching rotations for the upcoming season. Sadly, I don't think my Giants will be included.
Just click the play button here because otherwise you won't be able to hear it as the mind-meld demo is still in beta testing. In case the player above doesn't work you can listen to the entire program from Phil's site located here.
Take a listen. His show is broadcast Monday thru Friday on Max Sports Channels, Talk Superstation, Armed Forces Radio Network , Kozmik Radio, First Online Radio and Baseball Podcasts
As always, please feel free to share your thoughts of the show in the comments and offer feedback, good, bad or indifferent.
