The mid-point of the season has passed. The All-Star game is over. The Spurs have lost nearly half of their roster to injury, and The Great January Injury Plague of 2014 will likely go down in the annals of San Antonio history alongside ... well, if not the Alamo, then at least the 1975 gasoline shortage.

But enough of the past, what does the future hold? Let's take a look at the rest of the season and see what the Spurs will do this year. I took the schedule off Spurs.com, and added my own "Prediction" column, totaled the wins and losses for each month, and wrapped it all up at the end.

Takeaways:

Until we beat the Thunder, we still have something to prove. The Clippers, Blazers, and Rockets are all good teams, but I feel in a playoff series, we could come out ahead of any of them. The Pacers and Heat, obviously the class of the East, will be in a dogfight with each other for the best record and then the Conference championship. They'll be ready to give us or OKC another epic Finals, assuming the current standings hold up.

Should we trade? Should we hope a full, healthy roster can go one step further than last year? Those are decisions my mind is tired of trying to figure out. Thankfully, I don't get paid to make those calls. But the guys that do (PATFO) have some stressful days and nights ahead of them. Logical cases can be made either way.

The first half of the season was a great ride. We watched Bobo and Patty have breakout seasons, while Nando and Cory took advantage of rare playing time to show us all why they've been kept around. Ayers has been up and down, and Baynes has shown his awesome towel-waving skills (do they teach them that in Australia?).

Buckle up for a wild rest of the season, Pounders!
