GIF Breakdown: Spurs vs. Clippers

It's so good to get a win. We're just not used to losing streaks. Let's take a look at some of the standout plays in the Spurs' win over the Clippers on Monday night.

Not that the Spurs haven't had some great plays as a result of ball-movement this season, they just haven't had as many in one game as they had against the Clips. Here's Tony Parker with a beautiful pocket pass that leads to the shovel pass from Tiago Splitter to Timmy for the one-hand jam. Is it weird that what I missed most from Splits was his passing?

This isn't something you see everyday. Two bounce-passes lead to a wide-open look for Boris Diaw. Cory Joseph has really become comfortable with the Spurs. When this team gets healthy the depth is going to be ridiculous.

2

This Ginobili drive got a post of its own with another angle, but it's so good it deserves another look. Two fakes and a double-clutch english-laden shot from the hip.

3

Manu Ginobili was absolutely fantastic in this game finishing with 19 points and 10 assists. He drives from the arc, weaves through three defenders and ends up with an easy layup.

4

Here's another great score from Gino. Manu drives baseline, goes behind the back to lose Matt Barnes before sinking the midrange J.

I assume David McGinnis, who manned the PtR Twitter account last night, was referring to this play with this tweet that made it onto the Spurs postgame show.

Matt Barnes and Chris Paul have a little trouble communicating here as Barnes wants Paul to switch onto Ginobili. That leaves Gino free to cut and Boris delivers a little pass to Manu on the way to the hole. DeAndre Jordan springs into action and Manu beats him again with the dish to the wide-open Tim Duncan for the flush. Matt Barnes is not happy.

Let's end this edition of GIF Breakdown with another great feed from Ginobili. In transition, Tiago slips the screen he's about to set on Redick and Manu floats a pass over the defense that leads the the patented Sparkles Reverse. So good.
