Spurs waive JaMychal Green

The Spurs trimmed their roster to the maximum of 15 for the regular season.

JaMychal Green was the last player on the Spurs roster with a chance to make the team, but the Spurs went with their 14 guaranteed contracts and waived Green on October 25th. They also waived two players that were signed on the 24th.

Many fans wanted Green to get a roster spot at the expense of Jeff Ayres or Austin Daye, but PATFO decided not to shake things up and the Spurs will return every player from last season's playoff roster as well as their first-round pick, Kyle Anderson.

The roster is set and tip-off is just three days away.

The official release from the Spurs:

Edwin and Vaden were signed by the Spurs on Oct. 24 and did not appear in any preseason games.

San Antonio's roster now stands at 15.
