First, the bad news: The Spurs lost yet another "signature game," this time to Portland. You may have heard something about that.
But then, the good news: No new injuries have crept up! Sort of! Except for Tony Parker's shin and Matt Bonner's nose but the former is believed to be minor and I'm legitimately excited about The Red Mamba looking somehow even goofier than normal in a mask.
The best news of all, however, is that it's time for our weekly chat with Phil Naessens, and this week's topic is who deserves to be on the Western All-Star team. You'll never guess who I stump for (hint: he scored one point against the worst team in the league), but I think my rationale almost kinda maybe doesn't make me sound like a total whack job.
Regardless, the Spurs need to have at least one guy. Can we all agree about this?
Also, Zeb from Welcome to Loud City is on and he and Phil talk all about the Eastern Conference, where I suppose they'll just pick six Pacers and six Heat and call it a day.
(Not that anyone asked me, but for the record my East All-Stars would be:
C Roy Hibbert
PF LeBron James
SF Paul George
SG Dwyane Wade
PG John Wall
and the bench would be
C Joakim Noah
PF Paul Millsap
SF Carmelo Anthony
SG Lance Stephenson
PG Kyle Lowry
PF David West
PG Kyrie Irving)
