The San Antonio Spurs released their full local TV schedule for the upcoming season Friday. The bulk of the games, 60 of them, will be carried on Fox Sports Southwest. 14 of them will be seen on KENS and two, including the Christmas Day game against the Houston Rockets will be carried on MY35 (that game will also be shown on ESPN). TNT gets five games and ABC gets one. ESPN and NBA TV will also air their games, that also be broadcast on the local stations.
Spurs Live will continue both before and after the FS Southwest games. Additionally, the station will air Spurs Insider once a week and KABB has added a Max Spurs show to their weekend broadcast schedule.
Don't worry Spurs fans, everyone's favorite hometown broadcasters Bill Land and Sean Elliott will return, with P.J. Carlesimo filling in for Elliott from time to time. These are usually the cold weather cities in the dead of winter and really, I'd do the exact same thing if I were in Sean's shoes.
The season tips off October 30th against the Memphis Grizzlies. That game can be seen on KENS starting with a pregame show at 7 p.m. All games can be heard on WOAI 1200AM in English and KCOR 1350AM in Spanish. Check out the full broadcast schedule here.
