Spurs art appreciation

As the days between the WCF and the Finals drag on, it's possible to feel the doldrums just a bit. But nothing lifts the spirit like viewing fantastic artwork of your favorite players that's been created by the spouse of the blog manager, right?

Almost two months ago, I posted this fanpost about an art contest one of my wife's drawings had been chosen for. Well, I'm pleased to announce that as a result of your votes, her drawing was voted into the Finals (much like the Spurs.)

But now the competition gets really fierce. After all, there are $10,000 worth of prizes and advertising at stake. Yeah, it's a pretty serious deal. So in order to encourage you guys to visit a page that's not a part of of the SBNation network (and vote for entry #14) let me offer you some fantastic Spurs-related artwork, also done by my wife.

This gentleman's name is Manu Ginobili, and he can be quite a fierce character. You may remember this moment from last year's WCF when Manu was kind of worked up, or in the moment as some say.

As I asked last time -- What do you get out of taking the time to vote for entry # 14? Well, if the joy of being able to help along the career of my cherished wife isn't enough, then consider the following. It's only because of her understanding and long-suffering nature that I have been able to devote the necessary time to assemble to team of writers that together have been able to make PtR what it is. If you're at all appreciative, or if you're interested in seeing it continue, then it's in your own interest to take a minute out of your day to head on over to the voting site, scroll down to the bottom of the page, click next to "Entry # 14" and then click the yellow Submit button. Daily.

You'll be making Mrs. Wilco very happy, and by extension, me.

In case you missed it, here's her portrait of Timmeh.

Coming soon ... Tony Parker.
