QuickCap: First game without Jack, Spurs beat Kings 108-101

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

J. Gomez (Edg5): The Spurs took care of business against the over-matched Kings on a night in which the shocking news about Stephen Jackson being waived was all the Spurs' faithful could think about. The win was expected but seeing Tony Parker coming back and looking great (22 points, 10 assists) was a treat for a team and fanbase that has taken a lot of hits lately.

All the Spurs starters finished in double figures, with a very effective Tiago Splitter flirting with a triple-double. The Kings kept it close thanks to a great shooting night from outside (11-20) but the result was never in question. With this win the Spurs tie OKC at the top of the West, at least until their game with the Blazers ends.

Fred Silva will have a recap for you up soon.
