DeJuan Blair ordered to pay $53,000 to a San Antonio jewelry store

According to an article written by Don Cosentino of Deadspin, Spurs center DeJuan Blair owed more than $53,000 to San Antonio jewelry store River Center Jewelers. The store filed a civil suit against Blair on October 8th, 2012 after Blair refused to pay. The suit also went for the San Antonio Spurs organization, as Blair took out a $30,000 loan used as collateral at the jewelry store.

Blair's trips to River Center Jewelers included a visit where he purchased a $5,946 Gucci watch and over $6,000 of other merchandise. In another trip included purchasing a $4,000 diamond watch, and a $3,000 diamond ring.

Blair is expected in court Wednesday in Bexar county. According to Bexar county records, the lawsuit was disposed this afternoon.
