I hate being sick. Unfortunately, it keeps occurring more and more frequently as I get older, and at this rate I may well be on my deathbed by the time the NBA Finals rolls around. The good news, my peeps is that bit of ominousness in the long term is to your benefit in the short term because this sore throat allows me to sound like an actual male adult on the radio. Hooray!
In this week's installment, Phil and I previewed the upcoming Spurs game versus the Wolves in Mexico City, where our humble heroes will be the designated road team while Minnesota will be the "home" side, despite obviously having to travel much farther than the Spurs do to play in the game. The obvious attractions for the Spanish-speaking fans will be Manu Ginobili and Tiago Splitter for the Spurs and Ricky Rubio and J.J. Barea for the T-Pups, but I think their attention should focus more on Tim Duncan and Kevin Love, since they happen to be quite good at basketballing.
In addition to the Spurs game Phil and I also discussed Suns-Rockets, Clippers-Hawks and Cavs-Nuggets, where I offered the usual "this guy is good, this guy is bad" level of insight you've come to expect. Zeb from Welcome to Loud City was also on the show as the headliner and he previews the other four match-ups, including the Thunder visiting Portland, in a win-win game for Spurs fans that I hope goes 48 overtimes.
