A (Spurs) Christmas Story

What if one of the Spurs' resident sharp-shooters had wanted a very particular BB gun as a child, growing up in Indiana in the early 1940's?

The San Antonio Express News ran a story this morning about the 30th anniversary of A Christmas Story.

First, that makes me feel really old. Second, it makes me want to honor one of the better holiday movies to come along outside of Christmas Vacation. And if you argue with me that Christmas Vacation isn't the best holiday movie ever I will block you on Twitter so fast, it's not even funny.

But I digress.

Let's spitball some ideas on how to mark the 30th anniversary of a boy's quest for a Red Ryder BB gun.  What if Danny Green played the starring role in the remake, with some cameos by a few other Spurs and NBA icons?  It would probably look like this.

Hope you enjoyed Danny Green's story with Pop playing his father, Pierre the Pelican playing his mother, Bonner as his younger brother, and Marco as the double-dog dared schoolmate.

Merry Christmas PtR.
