Week two of the NBA season
Greetings, fellow Pounders, and welcome to what will be a weekly feature here at Pounding the Rock. Fantasy sports in general and Fantasy Basketball (FB) in particular are a big part of my life. Even if you don't play FB, you should be able to enjoy the information presented ought to increase your overall basketball IQ.
Sleepers for the week ending November 10, 2013
Manu Ginobili: I didn't think much of Manu fantasy-wise when I was drafting, but when this guy's healthy he can be a great contributor on any FB roster. He's on fire right now playing 25 minutes per game and is putting up stats across the board. With the Spurs playing four games this week (Denver, Phoenix, Golden State, New York) Ginobili can help fill the gap at either SG or SF. He's currently owned in 31% of ESPN Leagues and 78% of Yahoo leagues so snap him up quickly before you lose out. (online stats)
Lance Stephenson: With the injury to Danny Granger, Stephenson has stepped up in a big way thus far. If you need assists, rebounds, threes and points then Lance is your man. Indiana plays four games this week (Detroit, Toronto, Chicago, Brooklyn) so Stephenson should be a great value at SG this week. Currently Stephenson is owned in 30% of ESPN leagues and 68% of Yahoo leagues. Don't wait too long because this young man won't be available much longer. (online stats)
Miles Plumlee: The PF from Phoenix is off to a great start, averaging 15.5 PPG, 14 RPG and 3.0 BPG. He's also averaging 37 minutes a game and, with three games this week (New Orleans, San Antonio, Denver), he can contribute big in the rebounds and blocks department. He's currently owned in 46% of ESPN Leagues and 60% of Yahoo leagues. Plumlee has all the makings for an excellent backup PF on any FB roster. (online stats) (online stats)
Tuesday is also fantasy hoops day on my show. Rotowire NBA Editor in Chief Kyle McKoewn joins me each week to answer your questions as well as some sleepers, injuries and plenty more plus we also do weekly Indiana Pacers reports with Tom Lewis and Utah Jazz reports with Amar - it's a lot of fun. To listen you can visit my site here or tune in below.
