QuickCap: Spurs struggle early, put away Jazz late - 91-82

The Spurs started the game like it was the first time they had ever played together, and the Utah Jazz played hungry and energized in front of their home crowd. The Spurs trailed almost the entire first three quarters, but a dominant performance on both ends of the court in the fourth allowed the Spurs to win handily.

The Spurs came out playing their worst basketball of the season in the first quarter. Meanwhile, the Jazz looked hungry and played with tons of energy. The Spurs turned the ball over, missed decent looks, and failed to box-out which led to offensive rebounds and too many second chance points for the Jazz. FirstName LastName started the game hot hitting all three of his first quarter shots, including two from deep.

The Spurs came into the fourth quarter down by seven. They came out on fire and within a couple minutes they had a three point lead. Danny Green hit a couple of threes, Boris had one, and Tony Parker was his usual fantastic fourth-quarter self. Tim and Manu got in on the action and the Spurs defense shut down the Jazz, holding them to just 15 points in the quarter.

It wasn't a pretty game, but the good guys were able to put it together in crunch time. The Spurs improve the West's best record at 9-1.
