Tough Group!

Russia and Lithuania with USA and France

The Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Caracas has sent through two more teams for London: Russia and Lithuania, both of whom will be in the group that already had the USA, France, Argentina and Tunisia. Four teams will go through to the next stage. Tunisia is sure to fall... but after that, only the USA is a perfectly safe bet to go through.

I would have said that Argentina was the next-weakest, but Latin American teams did unexpectedly well in Caracas. So... Who knows?

The last slot will be decided today, in the "losers' bracket final" in Caracas, between Angola and the Dominican Republic.

Edit: Ooops!! The "losers' final" is DR vs Nigeria, not Angola... who are already qualified for London, as champions of Africa. ... Thanks for the heads-up, Nathan!
