Spain Crushes France in the Paint

Tony Parker started the game, but wasn't in rhythm. He quickly returned to the bench and stayed there.

Nico Batum still hasn't signed anywhere, although Minnesota has put a big bundle on the table. Portland has said they'll match any offer... but so far they haven't. Sunday at the latest...

Edit: French sports daily newspaper L'Equipe reports that Nico has agreed to sign with Minnesota for four years and 45 - 50 million dollars. Now the question is, will Portland match?

Spain is crazy strong inside: Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka, and Felipe Reyes. To stay in a game without Tony or Nico, France's inside players had to be outstanding. They weren't. There were momentary flashes from Diaw / Turiaf / Seraphin... but over the length of the game, they got killed!

Final score: 81 - 65

Nando de Colo was the only bright spot for Les Bleus, hitting his shots and moving the ball. Overall, the French shot well at long distance, but Spain was better in every other compartment: boards, movement (with and without the ball), blocked shots (Ibaka!), turnovers ...

Les Bleus will play Belgium Tuesday.
