So, as Tim C informed us yesterday, DeJuan Blair is gone to play in Mother Russia. My favorite quote about it so far is from Golliver's piece on CBS Sports:
They say winter in Russia is tough, but it can't be too tough for a guy who plays in the NBA without ACLs.
So it really happened, and while I can't picture a place where he'd fit in less easily, I can't begrudge DeJuan making $90K a month! That would buy quite a few Big Red sodas, if they had any Wataburger's in Samara. Not to mention the fact that Krasnye Krylya is lots of fun to say.
Dasvidaniya, DeJuan. Have fun in the Russian Super League and stay healthy, please.
