Gasol trade revisited....

Gasol trade revisited...

When this trade was made, I remember thinking it was about as legitimate as Dennis Rodmans offensive game. But it quietly went away ...until now. A few bloggers at spurstalk.com have put together a very good argument  questioning the legitimacy of this " trade ". http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134611

While I essentially forgot about the nature of this trade a few months after it was consumated, I gotta think that maybe Pop was about 60% serious when he said "What they did in Memphis is beyond comprehension. There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense. I just wish I had been on a trade committee that oversees NBA trades. I'd like to elect myself to that committee. I would have voted no to the L.A. trade."

Basically I would like my fellow PTRers opinions on the trade that had earth shaking consequences.
