NBA Summer League Day Nine Preview and Live Thread

The San Antonio Spurs (3-0) play again today at 9:00 Spurs time against the Blazers (0-3).

All in all, we have another 6 games today. Oops, I missed one. We have 7 games today.

Here is your list of games, rosters are behind the links.
  • Dallas Mavericks (0-4) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (0-4) at 3:00 - The Thunder have been pretty disappointing. If James Harden plays, I'll watch him. Rodrigue Beaubois has not been good outside of his 34 point game against the Rockets on Saturday.
  • Chicago Bulls (1-2) vs New York Knicks (0-3) at 5:00 - I'm going to watch Jordan Hill again.
  • Minnesota Timberwolves (1-2) vs New Orleans Hornets (0-3) at 5:30 - Jonny Flynn, Wayne Ellington, Darren Collison, and Julian Wright.
  • Memphis Grizzlies (3-0) vs Phoenix Suns (2-1) at 7:00 - Hasheem Thabeet going against Robin Lopez should be interesting.
  • Los Angeles Clippers (2-1) vs Washington Wizards (1-2) at 7:30 - The Blake Griffin show. Maybe he will match up with Andray Blatche in this one.
  • D-League Select (2-1) vs Denver Nuggets (2-1) at 9:30 - The D-League Select team is one of the best teams to watch out here. They are scrappy, play with heart, and know how to move the ball.
  • San Antonio Spurs (3-0) vs Portland Trailblazers (0-3) at 9:00 - I expect us to get extended looks at Jack McClinton and James Gist. Ordinarily, I'd expect the Spurs to rest some of their guys in the next two games. However, Ian really wants to play so I expect we'll continue to see him. I like the way he has gotten better each game. Hopefully, he can continue that trend. The Blazers have some interesting big guys in Jeff Pendergraph and Dante Cunningham.
