RECAP: Warriors 102, Pistons 107 - That Wasn't Practice
Final Boxscore | Open Thread (1100+ comments!)
Question: Who can take away our 12 point lead in the 3rd Quarter?
Answer: The Answer.
Yet another loss. But, for a game that we weren't supposed to even contend in, we put a good fight for the first 30 minutes. Things were going smoothly, shots were being made, defense was being played, the Pistons were gettin boxed out, and it looked like we were going to beat a team that we stood no chance against...but, its 2008.
And in the words of Atma Brother #1 - WE BELIEVE IS DEAD.
Sigh...

Game #9: Warriors vs Pistons - We Talkin' Bout PRACTICE
I'm NEVER going back to the Finals? Then why did I go to the Pistons?!?!
Warriors (W-L): 3-5
Pistons (W-L): 5-2
Time: 7:30 PM PST
TV: TNT
Radio: KNBR 680
The Pistons made a blockbuster trade and...they lose two straight. But hey, Iverson got his first win as a Piston by destroying the dominating Kings. If we couldn't beat them, they have to be good, right? ...Right?
Here's what I see for this game - ENERGY. Although Tuesday's victory against the Wolves wasn't a pretty one, a win is a win, and I think that brought some confidence in the young'ns. It was amazing watching Morrow drain those two three's and I can forsee this man taking Al's role as a 3 point specialist.
A.I. and crew have a deep team, they look better on paper, but they got nothin' on us!
As one of the Warrior Girls said to me at the game on Tuesday - WE STILL BELIEVE!
Ok, that didn't really happen...but I can pretend right?
R Dizzle's Predictions
- Warriors LOSE by 1(just for you saintdee)
- We trade Al Harrington at the beginning of the game for the Rock Band 2 Special Edition Bundle. The Halftime show is Rob Kurz singing "Eye of the Tiger" with Morrow on the lead guitar, DeMarcus Nelson on bass, and Turiaf on the drums. The crowd goes wild and stays to see if there's an encore after the game.
- Andris gets another double-double...sigh. How bout a triple-double already? I see ya taking the ball up Andris! 12 ASSISTS!!
- Ron Ron gets hyphy on the sidelines as Morrow drains four 3's
- I get knocked out by my buddy and miss the 4th quarter cause I keep yelling "YOU GOT THE ANSWER, BUT WHAT'S THE QUESTION?"
- Jack rests on the bench for 3 minutes.
- Kwame Brown scores 20 points. You don't believe me now...but just wait.
- Monta Ellis scores 30...oh wait, my bad. Scratch that one.

RECAP: Warriors 104, Grizzlies 109 - Cool Runnings!
Boxscore | Open Thread (646 Comments)
Jack and Nellie have had better days....
Now that wasn't a pretty game. I found myself distraught as the last second ticked off the clock and I said, "What could I possibly do to make myself feel better about this?"
Easy, watch clips from Cool Runnings!
Basketball? As in, ball goes in the hoop?

Game #6: Warriors vs Grizzles – Do Over
This guy kinda dominated last game
Warriors (W-L): 2-3
Grizzlies (W-L): 2-3
Time: 7:30 PM PST
TV: CSN
Radio: KNBR 680
Let's try this again shall we?
Last Monday's game was straight up EMBARASSING. So how's about we find some way to stop Marc Gasol and not let O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay tear us up?
Sound good? SOUNDS GREAT!
Going for .500 baby!
R Dizzle's Predictions:
- Warriors by 7
- B-Wright tears up and has another career high game! Yeah I said it!
- Marc Gasol only gets 20 points...ONLY.
- Al gets to chill on the bench for 3 quarters.
- Andris gets his 6th straight double-double of the season, the Roaracle goes wild, and the "MVP" chants rain louder and louder!
- Baron Davis scores 30...oh wait, my bad. Scratch that one.

Yeah baby!
Alright, admit it. That game wasn't pretty nor was it that exciting to watch (go free league pass!). But we finally finished a game strong and came out with win #1.

Game #3: Warriors vs Nets – Take a DEEP Breath
UPDATE: If you have Comcast, there's a free preview of NBA League pass of the game on Channel 447.
Warriors (W-L): 0-2
Nets (W-L): 1-0
Time:: 4:30 PM PST
TV: Comcast channel 447 (Free NBA League Pass)
Radio: KNBR 680
Alright, I've calmed down a bit from yesterday's game (except not really cause I'm writing this right after I wrote last night's recap) and I'm ready for the new day!
Can the Dubs finally finish a game? Forgot about what happened yesterday, and Wednesday, it's time to come in, play mentally and with heart and take down this Nets team.
Who do the Nets have anyway? Devin Harris? He's still scared from his beatdown during the 2k7 playoffs! Vince Carter? Waaay past his prime (ignore the 21 points on the season opener). Richard Jefferson? Whatever man..
Win #1 comes tonight!

RECAP: Warriors 108, Raptors 112 – It's Thriller Night
Final Boxscore | Open Thread (439 Comments)
Bout sums it up...
Here's your recap - that ending sucked. Sucked a lot. Sucked so much that I wish more kids came by house bugging me for candy so I couldn't witness the last two minutes and the OT of the game. I will say this Game 2, and I'll probably say this through Game 82, these are the worst kind of losses.
On Wednesday, we all witnessed a great heart breaker as the Warriors kept up and contended with the 3rd best team in the league. So we all figured, "Hey, it's the Raptors. They've got some talent, but after that uplifting performance on Wednesday, we got this, right?"
WRONG.

Game #2: Warriors vs Raptors – It's Gonna Be Scary!
Warriors (W-L): 0 - 1 (The Big Pumpkin)

R Dizzle's House, 10/31/08, 4 PM
---------------------------------------------
R Dizzle: Man, I'm glad it's finally Friday! Work really sucked this week, but at least the Warriors season kicked off and I got to chill with a buncha my homies at GSoM Night 5!
Unfortunately that game was terrible for both my blood pressure and my heart seeing as though I went home crying. No matter, at least that game gave me a bit of hope, or dare I say it, BELIEF, in this team that I wrote off months ago.
But on to tonight! It's Friday, I ditched work early so I could catch the 4 PM tip off and there's nothing around to distract me! Warriors vs Raptors baby! I get to see my main man Jermaine play against his old teammates! This is going to be dope!
Ding dong!
R Dizzle: What the...who could be buggin me during my Warriors game? This better be good...
Kid #1: Trick or treat!
R Dizzle: Oh snap! I completely forgot it's Halloween! Guess I'm a bit too old for that now...anyway, green skin, head band, and a ninja costume? You must be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle! Which one? Leonardo? Michaelangelo? Raphael? Or Donatello? He was my fave back in the day...he did machines!
Kid #1: Who are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? I'm supposed to be Al Harrington!
R Dizzle: You have very poor humor kid. Take the candy and go get traded or something. I'm going back to the game.
Hit up the jump to hear more of my night!

Player Recaps and Predictions: Stephen Jackson
Order your tickets before 10am Wednesday!
Time for my favorite player on the Dubs this year, Stephen Jackson.
Brought along with Al Harrington, in what we here at GSoM consider the heist of the century, Jack was once considered a risky risky player to bring to the bay. He was a big part of the whole Ron Artest ordeal and best known for firing a gun outside of an Indiana strip club. He had a ring with the Spurs, but who really cared when he first came to the bay? Looked like a trouble soul and a guy that just needed to get his head up out of his you know what. Expectations were low - the hope was that he just wouldn't screw things up too much. We had DUNLEAVY before him, how much worse could it get?
Oh Stephen, how you proved everyone so so very wrong.
More after the jump!

GSOM Night 5 is 2 days away. GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!
But alas, back to business. Just a few more player recaps and predictions. Just a few more left, and with this one, we figured we should do a special edition on the Three-Headed Monster that is soon to become our starting PG...
Call that my Throwback to Hash. But maybe I should just leave the art to Tony...
Anyway, hit up the jump for recaps, predictions, and grades. Leave your thoughts in the comments.
