No.  You are a "GO" for the recap.

Thanks to Powell for doing the pre-game.  I just cam e in to do it in a panic.  I forgot there was a game tonight.  All the back-to-backs are taking their toll on me.

TD cleans house; 25 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 blocked shots.  Plus, he only plays 29 minutes.

Re: Game thread # 72 -- vs. Los Angeles Clippers
We need to outSpur these bastards.

Spurs 100
Clippers 80

PREDICTIONS!

TP erupts to 4/10 FG, Brand enters the court only to pull Manu to the ground (because he's so white, it seems?), Tim stares his way into 20/10, Findog continues to improve and becomes the Spurs go-to guy in the clutch, Oberto shoots the flattest 2pt ever and miraculously misses and Mad Eye Kurt kills a grown man with a lazy glance in his general direction.

Is Vaughn amazing or what? Dude was saving his energy and leet skills for the next time the Spurs hired a backup PG.

Re: Game thread # 72 -- vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Coaching pointers for tonight.

A team that is down in the dumps and used to losing. Throw the kitchen sink at them early. Go for the throat. You get up 10 points, keep pouring it on. Pretty soon they will just assume it is going to be yet another loss and just mail it in.

Pop has a pattern of getting up early against weak teams, then sending in the goon squad second unit. The weak team comes roaring back and now you have a tiger by the tail.

If you keep your starters in, bury the weak team early, you can put the goon squad in the fourth period and still rest the starters. So, Pop..wise up.

Damn right, the Spurs need to kick the shit out of these guys tonight. I doubt #4 can repeat his performance of last night, but I hope he can a least hit 4-7 or something like that. Is that really asking too much?

Re: Game thread # 72 -- vs. Los Angeles Clippers
I am watching the Celtics-Suns game now. I am convinced the officials are on the take again. Boston gets away with grabbing shirts, shoving guys in the back, throwing elbows, violent charges right into the defender, climbing over the back. None of it is ever called. I wonder what cut Stern is getting? Nash just got a technical foul after getting steam rolled. I am not sure why the officials want to throw everything the Celtics way, but it might have something to do with trying to set up a Boston-LA final. I could be way off in conspiracy land, but then again.....the truth is out there.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sean Elliot.  He's one of my all time favorite SPURS and a truly nice and classy guy.

But if I'm a fan of another franchise, and I'm streaming a San Antonio game..... I want to shove ice picks into my eyes just listening to the announcing.  He's not even so much the 'homer' as the 'gomer.'

I love him, but I would never engage in an argument defending the quality of our color guys.

Also, Manu's FT streak has finished. I was just about to do a Fight Club rip-off and order people not to talk about the streak. Ah well.
