Game Thread #48 - @ New York

Two hours to game time.  I need to get my prediction in.  Matt might be busy frisbee golfing in Pease or Zilker on this beautiful day in Austin.  Or, maybe he and Krukow found each other.

I'm going with the double reverse psychology.

Spurs: 108
Knicks: 89

Re: Game Thread #48 - @ New York
i miss the atx.

here in colorado -- where i swear i'm living in one long northern exposure fever dream -- it was something of a nice warm day, too.

got up to 30-something today and it only snowed about two inches. hasn't been above single digits for a pretty good while.

you ain't a beauty but hey you're all right.

Re: Game Thread #48 - @ New York
i was at the game in NYC and surprisingly there were a ton of Spurs fans.  I'm not sure where they came from but I sat in a section full of people rooting for the Spurs.

Predictions.

  1.  There are a shit load of Argentineans in New York, or visiting.

  2.  New Yorkers hate the Knicks so much that they cheer for the opposing team.

All in all, I had a pretzel, lost my voice and was happy we pulled that outta our ass.

Go Earmuffs!

Re: Game Thread #48 - @ New York
I, too, was at the game. I came down from Boston for the day, and didn't expect to see but maybe two or three Spurs faithful up in the semi-nosebleeds with me. But lo, as you say, I'd bet maybe 1 in every 25 in attendance were pulling for the Spurs.

However, two of the guys wearing Nate Robinson jerseys in the row in front of me would cheer both for the Knicks, and whenever Ginobili or Duncan scored. Inexplicable, these yankees.

I'm back aboard the Chinatown bus today to catch the Celtics game tomorrow afternoon. I'd imagine there won't be much room for Spurs cheering -- legitimate or otherwise -- with all the frontrunners stinking up the joint. Anyone else plan to be there?
