This Just In: We're Pretty Good.

Christ, was the last three quarters of that game boring or what?  Recap coming whenever I feel like it.  Until then, enjoy this....

I think this pretty much sums it up...

The saddest part of that whole clip?  They're all better dancers than me.

from bill simmons latest posting:

"The Lakers won four playoff games total in the next three seasons; Miami won the 2006 title and would have won in 2005 if Dwyane Wade didn't get hurt."

Re: This Just In: We're Pretty Good.
Rather than a game recap (I mean, what can you say?), how about a match-up analysis of Detroit and Cleveland?

one take on the next match-up
my two cents on the match-up with each:

seems like lebron ate bruce up for the past two years, so that would be a problem for SA.  pistons are just packing it in and daring any other cavalier to do anything. that would be a good lesson for us to follow if it is cleveland.  cavs will surely collapse on tim and make the outside jumpers beat us as well....they are the spurs north after all. with the exception of lebron, all of the individual match-ups favor the spurs. fabi will cause problems for Z you can bet on it. at several points already during these 4 games, the cavs have siezed up under pressure. they look like the easier match-up for us in that they are a year or two (or a player or two) away. young team, young coach, etc.

pistons are a toughter match-up across the board, but no way rasheed can keep his composure long enough to guard timmy for the whole game. to me, this would ultimately be the pistons undoing. they will need big help from webber (not) mcdyess (no way) and/or jason maxiell (young kid) to be able to do anything with tim. expect them also to double down and rely on outside shots not falling. TP will struggle with billups' size and strength and manu will have to do just like he did two years ago vs. prince - which was a key in the eventual series win.

folks can talk about ugly basketball vs. the pistons all they want, but it will be just as ugly if we play cleveland.

i say that we can look forward to games in the 70s, a bunch of bricks launched up from the outside and tons of free throws either way.

NBA Finals Matchup
It isn't going to be as ugly as people believe. Especially from our(the Spurs & Spur fans) perspective. Regardless of which team we play, we are going to D them up and we are going to push the ball back after we get stops. As far as Cleveland or Detroit is concerned, they will be scoring in the 70s & 80s. We are looking at 90s +. Spurs in 6, book it!!!

Word. And I thought Van Gundy was going to be good for them (can't remember why), and then this? Ew...
