Jazz Hit Sour Note Versus Spurs
UTA: 104
SA:  114

I'm still sitting on cloud nine after witnessing that epic Spurs-Mavs clash of the titans in person on Wednesday night. What a pleasure it was to watch all those Dallas fans silently walk out of the AT&T Center with their heads hanging! Hopefully, our boys aren't hungover from the big win. Utah is a great team, and a fierce rival, so we're gonna need another huge effort from Manu again, and maybe Frenchy will decide to show up this time too.

Personally, I hope we rest timmy a little longer.  We shouldn't need him tonight...

Manu will not destroy the Mormon faith.  He will be proclaimed the next latter-day prophet, and shall lead the all those who follow into the promised land.

Duncan isn't playing and you're all gonna hate me for this, but...

Jazz 98
Spurs 93

If Timmy does convince Pop at the last second to let him play, then Spurs 101, Jazz 94.

Re: Game Thread # 20 -- vs. Utah
Although I'm sure Manu will have a solid performance tonight, I do not expect it to be of the same quality as his domination of the mavs.  Parker will probably be the lead scorer, but in the end, I think  we fall short.

Tony will have a career high and the 3's will rain down as Bruce, Bones, and even Findog start feeling it.

Either Tony and Manu will both have 30+ points or 10+ assists.

Re: Game Thread # 20 -- vs. Utah
After the game's in Utah's hand come the 4th quarter, Pop will sit everyone of questionable health and/or age. It will be Matt Bonner running 1-on-5, and he'll hold his own. (Spurs still lose, though.)

Damn,I was away and couldn't post before it started. At halftime, I think we'll win this... I love Manu.

So even though this one doesn't count, I'll say:

Spurs 105
Jazz 100

Re: Game Thread # 20 -- vs. Utah
Anyone hear when Pop was talking to a referee and said BULLSHIT! ESPN missed that one...I guess those mics on the coaches are good for something after all.
Also, I think Manu has been touched by His Noodly Appendage, the FSM chose him to show his powers in basketball form, Ramen!

Re: Game Thread # 20 -- vs. Utah
did hear the BS comment. i was surprised that pop was that riled up so early in the game.

i also never conidered carlos boozer to be such a mouthy punk until last night.  he had something to say after nearly everyone of his baskets....until the last 6 minutes of the game that is.

in some respects, the utah game was tougher match-up-wise for the spurs, and therefore could be considered a more impressive win than the dallas game. either way, it was not quite as enjoyable (but very close).

the past two games were the best 2 of the season by any measure.

manu and the spaghetti monster dude are BOTH god.  hey, there is nothing wrong with paganism in basketball.
