Spurs Lose by 40 to Trail Blazers as Stars Rest: 97-137
The Humbling
Tim: "Hey Tony... I think the kiss cam is on us."
Tony: "You're just bored, Timmy, that won't work on me."
It was the perfect setup for the perfect blowout. Right after Gregg Popovich announced pre-game that the two healthy stars he has left, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, would not play, he could have grabbed the chalk and wrote down one more win to the Portland Trailblazers' W column. Can you even call this a game? To say it was a practice session or a scrimmage is to undersell what truly transpired. Routs of this magnitude rarely happen in scrimmages, much less an actual NBA game, but newly-installed Blazers point guard Jamal Crawford, all-star forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Gerald Wallace, and even the much-maligned Raymond Felton all used the silver platter handed to them by Pop, and proceeded to beat the heads of what remained of the San Antonio Spurs' lineup with it.

Game recap: Spurs, Gary Neal pull off miraculous 103 - 100 win in OT at the Clippers.
The San Antonio Spurs escaped The Staples Center with their 10th win in a row after defeating the Clippers in overtime. In a weird game that went down to the wire, the Spurs managed to overcome their own bad execution down the stretch by taking advantage of the Clippers' mistakes. Tony Parker scored a game-high 30 points while Gary Neal hit some clutch shots for the Spurs. Blake Griffin had 22 points and 20 boards for the Clippers, who almost rode a fantastic 4th quarter by Chris Paul to get the win, only to see a costly mistake by their point guard open the door for the Spurs, who seized the opportunity to get their 22nd win of the season and solidify their status as the second seed in the Western Conference. Quarter by quarter analysis after the jump.
San Antonio Spurs 113, Toronto Raptors 106; Tony Parker Extends the Spurs' Win Streak to 9 Games
The Spurs won their ninth game in a row, fifth of the Rodeo Road Trip, against the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night in a contest that resembled a video game. Tony Parker led all players in points, with 34, and assists, with 14, as he continued to validate his recent All Star bid. Although both teams were coming off a game the night before, they each managed to shoot a scorching 54% from the field. In the end, the good guys prevailed in a close win that extended their league leading win streak that has them in second place in the West.
Game Recap #28- Spurs survive D-troit Basket-Ball, win late
Tonight, the Spurs took a trip to the Palace of Auburn Hills to play a Detroit team that, statistically, is at best the third worst team in the league. San Antonio, apparently befuddled by the early start time, waited until about five minutes left in the first quarter to show up. They took a lead in to the second quarter, and controlled the game, keeping the Pistons at Kawhi Leonard's arms length throughout...until the fourth quarter. Ben Wallace, in what he says is his last season, dominated everything and everyone.

San Antonio Spurs 103, New Jersey Nets 89: Spurs Dominate in Ginobili's Return
And just like that, the Spurs find themselves in the midst of a seven game winning streak while holding the 3rd spot in the Western Conference. 22 games ago, Manu Ginobili broke his hand and the Spurs were left in an undesirable position; a rigorous schedule and injuries were sure to test the Spurs. Rather than sulk, this team took control of their destiny and recorded 15 wins and only 7 losses without their best player. Tonight, the Spurs were reunited with Manu and were able to cruise to their third victory on the Rodeo Road Trip. Such an event as the return of Manu demands FARS (Fred's Arbitrary Rating System) and thus shall have it.

Tony Parker continues to destroy defenses, Spurs get a 100-90 win at Philadelphia
The Spurs managed to go 2 for 2 to start the Rodeo Road Trip with a win over a very good 76ers team. After a close first half, the Spurs pulled away by double digits in the third and resisted the home team's late surge to close the game. Tony Parker continued to remind everyone that he is one of the best guards in the league with 37 points and 8 assists. Tim Duncan and Gary Neal assisted TP in the winning effort by scoring 16 and 18 points respectively. Lou Williams led the Sixers with 22 off the bench. The Spurs improved their record to 18-9, climbing to the second spot in the Western Conference.
