Fraternizing with the Enemy
Fraternizing with the Enemy: Another round with Portland & Dave
It's time for the season's second game between the Portland Trail Blazers versus the San Antonio Spurs. And when Portland's on the schedule, that means that Dave, the head of the otstanding Blazer's Edge and I do the epistolary equivalent of a game of H-O-R-S-E. Our last one is here, if you need a refresher. And the entire series of Fraternizing with the Enemy posts now has it's own page here, in case you want to check to see if you missed any of them.
Before we begin, be sure to go see their side of the discussion, and behave yourselves over there.

Looks almost forboding, doesn't it?

Fraternizing with the Enemy: Spurs, Clippers, and Steve's
So, the Spurs are playing the Clippers again, but this time, the stakes appear higher. The winner of Saturday's game takes sole possession of second place in the Western Conference, within striking distance of the Thunder. Like the previous game, Clipsnation's Steve and I had a chat. So yes, it a conversation between the ClipperSteve and SpursFanSteve. (FYI, there aren't any Steves anymore. There are literally five dads that live within two blocks of me on my street named Steve, but neither of my kids goes to school with a single Steve. Actually, there is one, but everyone calls him Scotty. Whatever happened to Steve?)
Since I had the first go round last time, I let him take the lead this time. I hope you enjoy. If you're up for it and promise to play nice, you can go chat with the Clippers fans here.
Fraternizing with...DBB!!
For those of you who don't know, DBB stands for "Detroit Bad Boys", and they are, officially, our unofficial sister (brother? cousin?) blog. In addition to being full of surly awesomeness, they are my blogging home away from home, and Mike Payne was kind enough to participate in another "Fraternizing with the Enemy" post this year, just like last year. It's only fitting that our teams play each other on Valentine's day, as the bromance between Mike and the rest of DBB and I would probably be overwhelming on any other day. There is a rich, rich history between our two blogs, starting last year with the FwtE Mike and I did. Many of them joined our game thread, and for a few weeks after several of us took time to post over there pretty frequently. The culmination came when Shinons mailed me a picture of a red panda...signed by none other than Robert Horry. I'd say that was the apex of the relationship, but I like to think of the apex as yet to come.

Due to the special nature of the relationship between PtR and DBB, we've done this post differently than the other FtwE's. First, you can read this post which consists of his answers to questions I sent him, and welcome the DBBers who visit us here. Second, go read my answers to his questions, and join them in their thread. And I've written the game preview for their site as well, so it's a triple dose today! Proceed to experience the primary stage.

Fraternizing with the Enemy: Dave and JRW talk Blazers at Spurs
There's a contest tonight between the Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs. Which, to followers of the FwtE series, means that Dave and I have once again prepared ahead of time so that you don't have to. As long as you have access to the interwebs, an interest in the game and a whole lot of time, you can rest assured that the two of us will get you ready to get the most out of the game this evening.
Before we begin, don't forget to visit Dave's excellent site, Blazer's Edge to see their side of the discussion - and behave yourselves over there, ok?

FWTE: PtR & The Dream Shake, Round 2
Well, don't say you didn't see this coming. Our last go-round was such a rousing success, I got an e-mail from the ghost of Dostoevsky asking for pointers on how to "maximize his word count." At least, I think that's what it was about. I took it at face value.
Anyway, here's Only_A_Lad from The Dream Shake for another edition of Fraternizing with the Enemy. Be warned, we go even further off-topic this time. Enjoy, and as always, play nice with visitors.

Fraternizing with the Enemy- SfS chats with Nate from Denver Stiffs
Pounders, I had the luxury of chatting with Nate, from the Nuggets blog Denver Stiffs. He's a pretty cool guy and he clearly knows what he's talking about, so hopefully we can all learn a little from this. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Fraternizing with the Enemy: Evanz and JRW Talk Warriors vs Spurs
I figured I needed to at least catch up with SpursfanSteve and DrumsInTheDeep, and get my first FwtE of the season up. Yes, it's time once again to bring you another SBNation collaboration. This time it's with the most fabulous blog Golden State of Mind and Evanz (check out his stats-tastic personal blog) who has agreed to be my guest for today's proceedings. And don't forget to visit GSoM to see their side of the discussion - and behave yourselves over there, ok? Without further ado, let's begin.
