St. Patty's Spurs Haiku
So far I'm excited by the warm buzz by my endeavor in Spurs Haiku. Rough loss amigos.
Pop waves the white flag
Decides to groom his green squad
Back-ass-ward Coaching
-Spurs 84 Magic 110
Now, a huge part of the loss was Timmy's lack of production but, he is a future NBA legend. So, allow me to present a haiku that reminds us of how much we love our PF/C/Tower...
Tim don't use the foam
Use Gillette gel shaving cream
For a closer shave
and finally a Spurs Haiku session will not be complete without a "classic" Bonner Haiku...
Sigh Matt Bonner sigh
Don't drive, pass, shoot or dribble
Just eat your sandwich.

St. Patty's Day Shot Chart
Having recently enjoyed Wayne's article on his new ATS Expected Field Goal Percentage and after reading a couple of BlaseE's solid posts here and here, I thought it was time for a shot chart that PtR'ers and spring breakers alike could enjoy. This chart will make clear that stats don't lie. If you can't handle a shot, don't take it and if you have taken enough you should know what you can and cannot handle. So without further ado here is your St. Patty's Day Shot Chart:

Spurs Haiku
Hi PtRers, I am a long time reader and first time poster. After reading for a year or so, I've been searching how to contribute my voice to this great fan blog. So, I decided on the classic 5-7-5 haikus. Every now and then I plan to post Haikus' based on the Spurs' status quo. Why? Because I love Haikus and I'm pretty decent at it, also I love the Spurs.

Manu put out El Heat's hope

Now, a personal opinion....

A cold day in hell.

Yahoo PtR March Madness Group
Some of you will remember that we did this last year... so we're doing it again.
Yahoo has a pick 'em tournament for the 2010 NCAA tournament. If you fill out a perfect bracket, they even have a way for you to win $1 million. Pretty nice, huh? Anyway, we've set up a group just for PtR, which you can find here:
The link actually contains this if you need it, but the group ID is "130477" and the password is "ptrspurs". We don't have any special prizes, just bragging rights on PtR. Have fun!

D-TOUR 2, Higher Body Count
I enjoyed the first Thread of Utter Randomness so much that I thought I would start my own.
I don't even know if I have permission to do this. But logical thinking has never saved me before. There's a lot of randomness after the jump:

Column written by Manu for La Nacion March 12
This is a reasonably correct translation of a column written by Manu for La Nacion, the Buenos Aires newspaper.

Spurs @ Timberwolves - March 12th - Game Thread
I don't see a game thread created for tonight's game. So, hope this post is used by folks to chat away during the game. It's been an oddly quiet day. Hope spurs make our days better.
This must be an easy game for the Spurs, we should wrap it up quickly and rest our starters as much as possible for tomorrow's game against the Clippers. I haven't done this before, so I will leave it here. Go Spurs Go.

This season, our Man and his team
As for many (most, all?) of us, this season has been a one heck of a roller coaster for me so far. It is hard to make sense out of the team we have. Still, this is something we are all trying to do, so I'll give it a try as well ... For a decade, we have been a Timmeh's team. We were boring, we played defense, we were big bad Spurs, we won more games than anybody else. We always knew that we were going as far as Tim would bring us, and Tim brought us to four NBA Finals, which we won, all four of them. It was a good ride, but it's over. Tim's team was beaten badly in last year playoffs by our archenemies. This year we have something different. We became Manu's team. Of course, Manu was very important for Tim's team. But his play was the icing on the cake.

Free Spurs Tickets!
No joke, no catch. I got two free tickets to Saturday night's game for buying a washing machine from Home Depot. I had been planning to go with my wife, but alas, she has come down with a fever today, so we're probably not going to make it unless she makes a miraculous recovery.
