Wait until you see number 1!
On December 1, 2015:
8. Ten Spurs are shooting 2-pointers at 50% or better
7. Six Spurs are shooting 3-poiters at 40% or better
6. Seven Spurs have a true shooting percentage (TS%) of 55% or more. TS% includes free throws as well as 2 and 3 pointers all weighted by value. Eight members have an eFG% that does not include free throws of 50% or better.
5. Tony Parker’s TS%, .611, is higher than Kawhi’s, .604, and first on team.
4. Patty Mills is 50% on free throws. This turns out to a small sample size effect at 1 make for 2 attempts. (1 of 2)
3. The seventh best 3-point shooter on the team and making only one out of three (.333) -- and over the last five games one out of four -- has shot 43% of his shoots from three. Manu Ginobili
2. Boban Marjanovic has the team’s second best per-36 minutes scoring rate of 19.1 behind Kawhi (23) and ahead of Manu in third (18.9)
1. LaMarcus Aldridge is the fifth worse shooter on a 15-man roster. His 2-point FG% is .452 fourth from the bottom, but his eFG% raises him to fifth worse because Rasual Butler has shoot 20 of his specialty, the 3-pointer, and made 4 while LaMarcus has taken only 7 although he missed them all. LaMarcus’ TS% is .488 fifth from the bottom and it also includes free throws. This includes giving LaMarcus the benefit of the doubt and placing him above Bonner who has taken no shots.
