Spurs 99, Wizards 102 - Nov 4, '15
- The Spurs shot pretty well from 2, mediocre from 3, and great from the charity stripe to gain a slight overall edge in True Shooting percentage
- The Spurs gained a significant advantage by controlling the boards, with Aldridge, Duncan and Leonard combing for 35 total rebounds as the Spurs gained a +6.5 advantage in expected offensive rebounds, which led to +6 second chance points
- That advantage was in turn squandered by the Spurs' in ability to take care of the ball, turning the ball over a horrific 10 times in the 4th quarter, gifting the Wizards 10 extra scoring opportunities, which was enough to carry the day
- Kawhi had a great night, racking up 23 points, and it was great to see Tony Parker step up late in the game and give the Spurs a chance
- LaMarcus Aldridge had probably his worst game as a Spurs, going 4-14 from the field and turning it over 5 times. Even on a really off night like that, he still pulled down a team-high 14 boards. The Spurs shouldn't get out-rebounded very often this season with this frontcourt, and Aldridge is a huge part of that.
- The Spurs fall to a meh 3-2 but have 2 days off before facing the Hornets in San Antonio on Saturday. Hopefully the rest will do them good and they can get back on the winning track then. Go Spurs Go!
