This past weekend, my family and I did a tribute to the 2014 Spurs Championship at SandFest 2014 in Port Huron Michigan. We built the Alamo with a giant Larry O'Brien Trophy next to it.
We've been fans since the late 1980s, enjoying the David Robinson years. My parents live in San Antonio, but I'm in upstate New York. The Spurs have always been a great way for us to connect and stay in touch.
Sand castle building is something we've always done together as a family as well. So getting a chance to build a tribute to the Spurs, combining two things that have been important to our family bonding, was truly a blessing!
Enjoy the photos!
