I've always been offended by the complements to the "system" in the Spurs' offense. The only system-like thing I could see are the off-ball screens set for open three-pointers and the multiple on-ball screens meant to free up Parker's mid-range shots. This past season relied more on the creativity of individuals like Diaw and Ginobili. I would argue that the "systemic roles" that the 2nd unit supposedly filled for the starters deviates from any "system" ran through Parker. Here's a video I was watching, (making me angry and wanting to rant), of Diaw being amazing and doing what comes natural.
