May 18 - the most significant day in Spurs history?

The Spurs win the draft lottery on this day in 1987, leading to the draft of David Robinson. Ten years later to the day, the Spurs again win the draft lottery, leading to the draft of Wake Forest's Tim Duncan. In 1979, on this day, the Spurs lose the Eastern Conference Finals to the Washington Bullets after being up 3-1 in the series - only the third team in NBA history (to that point) to lose a series after being ahead 3-1.
