In PTR’s Recap, Chris Itz recalls Blazer fans wanting to be regarded as one of the best of the West. I guess jump shooting, no defense having teams really do come back to Earth.
Report Cards: 48 Minutes of Hell is issuing out grades and thinks Patty Mills is deserving of the Western Conference Player of the Week. Nando de Colo, on the other hand…appears to have missed his assignment.
On the subject of stats, Patty Mills is 24 of 26 on FT attempts during the month of February. That’s 4 more attempts than Dec/Jan. combined when he went 19-22.
24 to 2 – Dan McCarney, of Spurs Nation, points out the number of starting line-ups the Spurs have used. The Blazers finally used their 2nd line-up of the year, after going 53 straight with no changes.
Coach Terry Stotts - ''We tried to beat San Antonio at their game and they did it better than us''.
Coach Gregg Popovich - "Patty was spectacular again. He's a tough cover. He's a great competitor and he has helped us like that all year long."
Non-trade news: Kawhi Leonard, out since Jan. 22 after breaking his right hand, likely returning to the Spurs' lineup Friday vs. Phoenix.— David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) February 20, 2014
