This is getting to be an unfortunate trend, but just like last week's show Phil and I spend considerable time discussing the latest Spurs injury (this time Danny Green) and what it means for the team. Fortunately, a much better trend is that our shows continue to get better and better in terms of quality and chemistry, as I slowly but surely start to figure out Phil's complex playbook.
So it's bad to chew gum during a show? Are you sure? Well, okay.
Anyway, we then delve into the possibility of the team acquiring Andrew Bynum, who Jalen Rose of ESPN.com said would be a good fit in San Antonio. Finally, I give the team some love for not only the way they grinded out a tough win at New Orleans last night but also for the way they've consistently found a way to get it done against the lesser lights of the league all season long.
After my segment, Zeb from Welcome to Loud City gets his turn at-bat and he and Phil discuss the London foray forced upon the Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks (hopefully they won't get smoked out or drowned and will get to actually play the game) and other various topics. Zeb isn't quite the homer that I am, so you probably won't be able to detect any inner torment or anguish in his voice about the current fortunes of the Thunder.
Finally, Phil will have on sports marketing guru Rush Olson (RushOlson.com) to discuss the globalization of the NBA and the WNBA, and the logistics of expanding those leagues to Europe and beyond. It's real interesting stuff.
