October 2012. I think that was the last time that I ever posted or even commented on a Spurs related site. Why? Because after I made my last post, I made a deal with the basketball Gods that I will stop posting things and stop drinking whiskey (my very bad habit) until the season ends in exchange of a really good season. You see, after a couple of disappointing season, I thought that I had to do something for my team. So yeah, this season happened, we got our wins, we dismantled the Lakers, Memphis, had a very exciting match with the Warriors, and then came the Heat.
By the time the Finals rolled-in I was actually thanking the Gods for listening to my plea, and that all my sacrifices have not been wasted. Can you imagine not drinking a beverage you have been consuming half your life? Or not participating in game threads here at PTR? Or not being able to share your thoughts?. As a Spurs fan for 11 years, and a PTR buff since 2009, that's hard. That sucks. But after Game 5 of the finals, I thought to myself that it was worthed indeed.
Then Game 6 happened. Manu happened. Turnovers happened. Game 7 happened. Devastation happened. What happened to me after that? I was dead-drunk three hours after Game 7 until last night. With beer, rum, gin, whatever is available. And yes, whiskey. I was a sad, sad boy.
Anyway, I actually prepared two narratives citing my point of views regarding what happened during and after the season, and some future thoughts. I was ready to upload it, when I read this, and this, and this, then this. I then compared it to what i wrote, then I trashed it. It was nothing compared to those great write-ups, and those actually summed-up what I wanted to say, only better, way better.
Well, goodbye for now. My brain hurts after thinking through 339 words, hangover has a very nasty way of doing that to people.
