Chalkboard: Game 6

All those of us who watch from outside the lines can only hope for the best from the Silver & Black. We display confidence without swagger as the view through the telescope of this series has narrowed to tonight's potential close-out game. We know their fate is in good hands (TO's be damned!), the world will (Final-ly) be watching, and the time has come to make a statement.

Since this space is the next best thing to being there; where I may offer one man's estimation of the task at hand in a few pithy words and phrases, here's what I'd like to see play out as the Drive For Five ensues:

I. Proof of Concept - Trust the System. Execute. Recycle until 00:00.

II. Craftsmanship - Play to your strengths and expertise: Dictate pace, Move with Purpose, Create Spacing, Assist = Penetration/Good looks/3-pt. opportunities.

III. Defend - Like the basket's your Mama. Help, Rotate, and Always Be Closing.

IV. Intangibles - Define your legacy. Represent excellence. Be One Team-One Goal.

Stick 'em Spurs. Kick 'em when they're down, and keep your foot on the gas... until T-Mac gets subbed in.
