So after watching the Heat and the Pacers, I've concluded that these Eastern Conference teams have taken "physical" to another level. If this keeps up, they're going to have to play with shoulder pads, knee pads, shin pads and oh, yeah ...A CUP!! I mean guys were getting punched and kneed in their privates!! That's where I draw the line. If you want to slap me up side the head, that's one thing. But leave my package alone!! Talk about hitting below the belt. They're called privates for a reason!! That means I'm the only one that gets to touch them!! We saw it in the Heat/Bulls series as well. Guys punching each other, slamming into each other. And the refs are getting used to it. What is called just a regular foul in the East (grabbing the arm of a player going in for a lay up...happened in game 1 of the Heat/Pacers), is called a flagrant foul in the West (Manu's play at the end of game 2 with Memphis). Unless it's king james that does it, and in that case, it's not even called at all. In game 2 of the Heat & Pacers, if the refs don't get this stuff under control...somebody's going to get hurt bad (and I don't mean just a bloody nose like the Bird Man got). On second thought, let them beat each other to a pulp!! That way, by the time we get to them in the Finals, they'll be too hurt to give us much competition!!
