Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook sidelined with torn meniscus

USA TODAY Sports

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook will be sidelined with a torn meniscus, and will undergo surgery to repair it. His timetable to return is uncertain at this time.

Westbrook injured his knee in the second quarter of game 2 against the Houston Rockets. Westbrook was running up court to call a timeout when Rockets guard Patrick Beverley lunged for the ball and inadvertently hitting Westbrook in the knee.

Westbrook being injured is a very tough loss for the Thunder and we here at Pounding the Rock hope for a speedy recovery for him.
