SAN ANTONIO (March 15, 2013) – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have assigned center Aron Baynes and guard Nando De Colo to the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League.
Baynes, who is making his third stint with the Toros this season, has appeared in three games for Austin, averaging 17.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 26.7 minutes.
The Australian native has played in 11 games this season with the Spurs since being signed on Jan. 23, averaging 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.6 minutes.
Also making his third assignment to Austin this season, De Colo has played in two games with the Toros, averaging 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.00 steals in 36.5 minutes. He has appeared in 57 games for the Spurs this season, averaging 3.4 points, 1.7 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 11.5 minutes.
Both will be available for tonight’s game when the Toros take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders inside Cedar Park Center at 7:30 p.m.
