Tonight's Game, Just Down the Road

I wish I was at Oracle for this one. Unfortunately, this year I can't afford it. I did wear my TD 21 jersey all over town today though. This second game of a back-to-back that serves as the slingshot turnaround of the RRT is key.

I am as thrilled as anyone that we crushed the Clippers - leading by 30+ points the majority of the way and debunking their reputation; as thrilled as anyone that Tim played less than sixteen minutes ... less than 16:00! and TP9 ran circles around CP3. That was awesome.

But actually games like this - on the road, on a back-to-back against strong opposition - these are games where I want to see the bench step up and handle business. Not to see us bailed out by Manu, Tony or Tim.

Tonight's game should feature All Business (KL) from the 8 minute mark of the 3rd quarter until the 4th when Verde should be brought in to join him. The surrounding cast for this second half context should be Neal, Tiago, Nando, Patty and Bynes - they need the experience of tough work on the road and this game is going to be significantly more difficult than the Suns will.

And Manu who has looked rusty and clunky since his return has got to play 25 minutes+.

David Lee is for real. Steph Curry has a chip on his shoulder. It'd be the perfect night for Steph Curry to show up TP9 a night after he showed up CP3. Spurs haven't seen Bogut yet, right? and Harrison Barnes is no joke.

Dubs got chops and our bench has to show they can hang on the road in tough spots tonight. All Business scores 24, 5rebs and 3/5 from 3pt. range. Tiago scores 17. Tony - guarded by Curry gets held short tonight. Tim'll get 15 or 18. I want points from Danny Green, KL and Gary Neal tonight - the mid-range jumper is going to be KEY.

This is one I've feared we may lose for weeks.

Go Spurs Go!
