Opponent Comments: Kings Edition

Here for another edition of "enemy" comments. I'll be honest, I had a good time reading the Kings Game Thread. There seems to be a game within the game on their thread. It's a little hard to pick the exact nature of it, but their Game Thread was good overall. Picking up on the personalities of the opponent fans is getting to be fun. Again, I'm trying to keep them from going to long, but I don't seem to be getting it done. There was some good comments on Tiago, Pop and Wells Fargo. Enjoy!

How good is your team when you have the luxury of having Danny Green and Ginobli as your bench?

It's scary how well built the Spurs are

by Reke_Havoc13 on Dec 29, 2013 | 6:22 PM up reply rec flag

how long can Duncan be in the key?

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 6:29 PM reply rec flag

by Buckets_811 on Dec 29, 2013 | 6:29 PM up reply rec flag

As long as Sean Elliott can be a homer dipshit analyst.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 6:33 PM up reply rec (1) flag

Sean Elliott is such a douchebag.

Even when talking about fellow alumni. I’m not sure how he manages that.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 6:30 PM reply rec flag

Probably the best bench in the league.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 6:45 PM up reply rec flag

For fuck's sake! Somebody hit a fucking bunny would ya?!

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:01 PM reply rec flag

Has Ginoboli ever shot a basket without falling down like he got shot?

by beeradgee88 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:02 PM reply rec (1) flag

Ginobli is toying with young Ben McLemore

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:02 PM reply rec flag

The force is not yet strong in you young Benwalker

sayeth Darth Ginobli

by ResidentBombast on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:06 PM up reply rec flag

Also not a knock on Malone...

…but we are playing a Spurs bench coached by Pop.

Our bench doesn’t really stand a chance.

by CVHSAlumni on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:15 PM up reply rec flag

Why can't I have a cool name like "Tiago Splitter"?

He should definitely be in the next Rocky movie

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:22 PM reply rec flag

by Scirocco on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:34 PM reply rec flag

Manu with the retro game

Looking very good, and he hasn’t lately

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:35 PM reply rec flag

IT is toying with old man Ginobli

by Reke_Havoc13 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:35 PM reply rec flag

Ginobli is toying with young man McLemore

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:36 PM up reply rec flag

Ginobli is the only guy who has really turned it up for them.

Even Duncan is being pedestrian.

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:37 PM up reply rec (2) flag

rec'd for pedestrian

a man of the people

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:38 PM up reply rec flag

by ResidentBombast on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:38 PM up reply rec flag

TP is doing pretty well if you're looking at the box score.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:38 PM up reply rec flag

I've seen him on another level many times as have you.

Hopefully he remains a little placid.

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:39 PM up reply rec (2) flag

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:40 PM up reply rec flag

the spurs commentators sound so confused right now LOL

by kranthig on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:40 PM reply rec flag

Sean Elliot is probably blaming this on Cousins being a meanie.

by beeradgee88 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:42 PM up reply rec flag

Late whistle but the right call.

BTW Pop’s suit tonight screams "I have 3 championships I don’t give a shit."

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:41 PM reply rec flag

He's got four

by Scirocco on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:42 PM up reply rec flag

Exactly.

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:42 PM up reply rec flag

he keeps the other championship in his other suit.

This one only can keep three.

by elfboy_ on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:43 PM up reply rec flag

Part of what makes San Antonio so tough is they have so much depth they can use in big time moments against much better moments.

Of course their bench, especially if Manu is on, is going to be impossible to match.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:53 PM up reply rec flag

Spurs run was coming at some point

Maybe better now than last two minutes

by kman949 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:52 PM reply rec flag

Commenting on Cutlers body!

Drink!

by beeradgee88 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:54 PM reply rec flag

Splitter really does have some good moves under the basket.

by beeradgee88 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:55 PM reply rec flag

Ginobli really plays for contact. I don't blame him.

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:55 PM reply rec flag

JT travelled there. Wow.

I’m mad for the Spurs fans.

by VenomySnicket on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:57 PM reply rec flag

Ugh Jimmer leaving Tony open.

Oh it was IT?

How adorable!

by beeradgee88 on Dec 29, 2013 | 7:58 PM reply rec (1) flag

-Sean Elliot

by rubenho on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:03 PM reply rec flag

by prowseinthehouse on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:04 PM up reply rec flag

True

he’s right though, no matter what, it’s a failure by the spurs

by prowseinthehouse on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:07 PM up reply rec flag

Joey Crawford and his secret agenda against Spurs/Duncan

This win is in the bag guys.

by Hit4TheCycle on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:07 PM reply rec flag

Never count the Spurs out when Manu is hot.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:08 PM reply rec flag

or Parker or TD

Or Leonard or even if none of them are hot

by ElRonToro on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:09 PM up reply rec flag

Can't really do anything about Ginobli but hope that he misses

by Reke_Havoc13 on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:08 PM reply rec flag

Somebody needs to be damn near inside of Ginobli's jersey for the remainder of the game

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:09 PM reply rec flag

That Duncan fella's pretty good

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:13 PM reply rec flag

McLemore doesn't need to be out there right now

by Mike Garza on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:13 PM reply rec flag

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:13 PM up reply rec flag

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:16 PM up reply rec flag

Manu is truly one of those guys you hate to play against but love on your team

by Reke_Havoc13 on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:16 PM reply rec (1) flag

Good game...

Spurs are as clutch as it gets. Kings, well, not so much

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:20 PM reply rec flag

I'm not mad, just envious

that the Spurs know how to turn it on so quickly.

by Ricardo Audain on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:22 PM reply rec flag

Ok, here is a question that has been bugging me for a while

In the Wells Fargo commercial – the young lady wishes to purchase a purse from a street vendor who repeats what his sign says "Cash only" he crows. She responds with "done" and then keeps the bag and walks away, soon pictured at an ATM. Did she put the bag down? She couldn’t have taken it to the ATM. I don’t see it at the ATM. If she put the bag down, couldn’t someone else have picked it up during her absence? Someone, anyone, help me out please. I am desperate for an answer.

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:23 PM reply rec flag

It's a scam

She passes the purse off to her friend off camera who walks away with it for free and ATM girl never returns. They’re running a grey market purse emporium in the garment district with their loot.

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:26 PM up reply rec flag

That makes sense

because otherwise that is just poor shopping technique and they should confiscate her ATM

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:28 PM up reply rec flag

Wells Fargo gets 20% of the gals ill gotten gains

by rstewartwest on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:29 PM up reply rec flag

That helps pay for the commercials

Kind of a pyramid scheme

by betweentheeyes on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:33 PM up reply rec flag

I'm thankful it took a turn the back clock performance from Manu Ginobili, Parker getting hot at the right time....

…….and the Big 3 sort of tapping out in the last 5 minutes to lose. These are the losses you can build on and start improving your team moving forward. Yeah, this team can’t defend the Spurs but they weren’t going to be able to with a million practices under their belt.

by pookeyguru on Dec 29, 2013 | 8:24 PM reply rec flag

A 46 minute win against the Western Conf champs

unfortunately 48 min game
