Trooper's Round Up: Bucks Edition

Here we go again with my favorite posts, by the opposing teams fans. Of course, all posts can be found here on Brew Hoop. Due to technical difficulties, I was unable to do the Pacers and Raptors game, but I'm back for my 2nd Edition. Now, this game had some some value, in the sense that their perspective is 180 degrees from the average Spurs fan. There was plenty of love to go around for our very own Spurs team. On the flip side, the realities that opposing fans face can be downright demoralizing. After 4 Championships (and a close 5th), Spurs fans have been dwelling (being constantly reminded by the freaking media) that they came up short in the Finals. Yeah, we are kinda spoiled by complaining about the next Championship that didn't materialize. Bucks fans...not as fortunate. Here's their perspective.

Someone, quick! Tell JaneG to start driving around downtown

and try to pick up Hobo Ersan to take him to get a new coat and some boots at the Salvation Army. It’s too cold for a 6’10" Turk to panhandle if his shot ain’t falling.

The first time I saw the ninja hobo pic...

I read it as the guy needing $4 karate lessons….rather than generically $ for karate lessons. I still kind of hope that’s what he meant.

I wonder how the Spurs would use Giannis

I think he would look great in there system. Imagine him and Lenard next to each other. Man i wish we were the Spurs.

Wasn't watching and actually thought we were starting great

Don’t understand why i thought that

Pop calls a timeout to yell at everyone for giving up a layup

Different ideas of discipline in our two organizations!

Im crying

Watching San Antonio is beautiful

by Mars8254 on Dec 11, 2013 | 5:33 PM reply

Tim Duncan has been off all season, so naturally he matches his season averages in a single quarter against us

by MadTown Hoops on Dec 11, 2013 | 5:35 PM reply

Bucks need more role players from San Antonio

Gery Neal was a nice start. I want Diaw and Matt Bonner.

I need to slow down my reading, I switched the a in tats with an i and experienced a horrific mental image

Watching the Spurs must be what it was like to sit in on the set musicians that played together on every Motown hit

Everyone knows their role and everyone knows what they can do to bring out the best in the others. They play with an ease that only comes from a decade of built up trust. Maybe the Bucks will achieve that while I’m still a fan, but Kohl’s constant kneejerk reshuffles make me doubt that we will ever understand the concept of continuity.

by MadTown Hoops on Dec 11, 2013 | 5:56 PM reply

This was expected

I wish every team that beat Milwaukee played like the Spurs . Would make losing a lot more fun

by Mars8254 on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:01 PM reply

Spurs Interior D is absolutely smothering

Every time a Buck goes inside it feels like he has to contend with four Spurs. How does it work?

by MadTown Hoops on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:01 PM reply

Wolters is showing he is the best PG on the roster

Impossible

he can’t be. Ridnour is clearly better barbecue he has veteran experience

Back on the whole losing thing, eh?

Good to see, I guess

by Riley Feldmann on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:04 PM reply

I don't mind the losing, but if we lose by 46 points I won't like it

by MadTown Hoops on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:08 PM up reply

The NBA sucks at marketing if the Spurs are considered boring

I love me a good slaughter at home with no one in the stands to witness it

by Riley Feldmann on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:25 PM reply

If the Bucks lose again and no one is there to spectate, does it mean we'll ever have a new arena?

by MadTown Hoops on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:26 PM up reply

Okay then

This is just embarrassing. Lebron wouldn’t save this team

by Mars8254 on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:34 PM reply

All for the good of the team!

Or something… I’m just joking, I understand the need for this pain. Doesn’t mean I need to be happy with it, right?

by Riley Feldmann on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:34 PM up reply

Spurs still guarding man to man with a huge lead

The Bucks need to find a system that works for us on D, all zone all the time has not been working.

by MadTown Hoops on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:38 PM reply

Spurs are just tossing stuff up and it just goes in

by Mars8254 on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:41 PM reply

This is starting to get ridiculous

God is San Antonio brutally good EDIT: It has been ridiculous for 90% of the game so far

by Riley Feldmann on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:41 PM reply

Alrighty, nearly a 40 point deficit

Goodness me

by Riley Feldmann on Dec 11, 2013 | 6:43 PM reply

by Mars8254 on Dec 11, 2013 | 7:09 PM reply

After all that, Giannis' dunk still gets me excited.

Call me a masochist. Kinda have to be to watch all that for a sliver of light.

Crazy box score

All starters in single digits. 4 at or under 4 points. And yet 3 reserves in double digits. In other news, we got stomped.

by snik75 on Dec 11, 2013 | 7:37 PM reply

This was a night of Corey Joseph going 1-on-4 (not to be confused with 1-for-4) for layups. I am going to just be here pretending it is still last night.

by Alex Boeder on Dec 11, 2013 | 8:31 PM reply

Outscored in 1st and 3rd quarters: 61-30...

Outscored in 2nd and 4th quarters: 48-47. So we were hanging with them at times. That’s why an addition of some legit talent would make this team amazing (plus a healthy and good Larry)
Also maybe because the Spurs are old.
