Coming into next season, the Spurs have an excess of guards who could all possibly compete for the spot of backup point guard. De Colo has the size to play SG, but Popovich isn't likely to bring Neal back to the 2 spot. With 3-4 point guard possibilities, only one backup pg will be chosen, which would therefore make the remaining two expendable.
