As previously reported by Ayatollah, Spurs guard James Anderson got a farewell wish from current Spurs guard Danny Green via Twitter.

Got to show love n shout my guy @25_Anderson out for the new deal with Atlanta...Congrats man! Bright future ahead
At the time, there was nothing to back up Green's information, but today, Kris Willis, Regional Editor for SB Nation Atlanta, Tweeted the following:
James Anderson to the Hawks on a training camp invite. He will have to earn his way onto the team. Has an opportunity

Spurs fans may remember last season when a rumor, reported by PtR's own DrumsInTheDeep, stating Anderson's agent requested the Spurs trade him. It seems now that the Spurs have given Anderson his wish and have let him go.
Anderson averaged 3.7 points, 1.5 rebounds, in 51 games last season.
