What the Stats Say?

It's a beaten horse. And stats don't tell all but, it's not good news from the perspective of the big situation in San Antonio next season with the provided link. In all categories across the board the back up interior big men of San Antonio scored in the negative on both offense and defense. Only Diaw and Duncan provided positive results in both ratings.

Now granted pairings have a lot to do with final stats. But these are indicators that the team must rid the roster of the negative to hope for a chance next season.

Surprising from a perimeter perspective...Ginobili was an across the board negative. Which I would concede due to him playing mostly with second units a contributing factor to that surprising stat. That said ...the numbers don't lie. Team defense must be improved. The major culprits (one's who logged the most minutes) being Splitter, Neal, Blair and surprising enough...Jackson to go along with Ginobili's negative from the defensive perspective.

Is it any wonder these players are mentioned the most in trade discussions or rumors? But if a simpleton as myself can find this info...imagine the paid professionals?

It's going to be a long summer and one without major change as far as roster if other teams see these stats. Why would they give up positive players for negative returns according to the stats?

It's not me or the opinion I want to move forward with but it is...What the Stats Say.
